Kitchen

Our main kitchen is used by the café during their opening hours and is only available for hire when the cafe is closed. You don't need the kitchen to just make drinks - you can do this in the halls / meeting room using the teapoints. 

Kitchen hire availability is after 4.15pm Tuesdays to Saturdays and all day Sundays and Mondays. When hired, access to the kitchen is via the West Hall, so any kitchen hire needs to be in conjunction with or through this area. We can only hire the kitchen with a hire of the West Hall, because of access. If you are hiring a hall and need to make just drinks, you won't need to hire this kitchen as there are teapoints in each hire space.

It is part of our Terms and Conditions of Hire that any kitchen hire must be overseen by someone who has undertaken training to at least CIEH Level 2 in Food Safety. This is to ensure that it’s normal use as a working commercial kitchen is not compromised and that appropriate hygiene practices have been undertaken. We would require a copy of training certification prior to any kitchen hire going ahead. Please note, due to our Environmental Health certification and inspection, it's not possible to use the kitchen to prepare raw meat or fish. 

The kitchen is equipped with a 6 ring cooking range & oven, microwave, hot cupboard, extractor fan and dishwasher. it also has a plumbed-in automatic urn, for constant hot water for drinks.There is no access to a fridge, just a small chiller cabinet. We can supply hirers with crockery and cutlery, subject to availability. The hirer will need to supply any additional cooking equipment they may need, as well as tea towels.
